Birthday party/ present ideas?

What are somethings I can do to throw him a party (maybe 20 people) that are inexpensive? I have not thrown him an offical birthday party since he was 4 and I am not sure whats the best way to do it. I don’t have a lot of money either(single mom), any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks

Eight is still very young so I suggest lots of party games and fun finger food! It could also be a costume party.
For the present you could get him
a) star wars video game
b) star wars toys
c) star wars movies
d) tickets for lego land (is it still open?)

Maybe you could get him some Star Wars trading cards or posters or Star Wars bedding. He already has a ton of toys and he will be getting a ton more from everyone. You should also get him a Star Wars themed cake, which shouldn’t be hard to find.
As for the party, maybe you could try McDonald’s. It cost somewhere between $60 and $100. Which isn’t bad considering that they cater the entire party, provide snacks and food and decorations. They even clean up after you leave. All you’d have to do is send out invitations. Heres a link that can tell you more about it:

transformers look like the popluar toy and movie for this summer.
how about a cook out at the park. have hot dogs, hambergers, pickles, chips, potato salad, etc.
play some of his favorite music while at the party. how about some balloons in his favorite colors? If you did this at the park the kids could play on the playground equipment and that way you would not have to think about games and prizes too.
