I was having a bowl of cereal reading the newspaper right before I took off for bed and I saw an add in the toys r us section for a star wars lego. It made me wonder who comes up with how to ACTUALLY make the things. Does anyone have an idea? I mean. Do they have people who sit behind there desks with different types of legos and try to create a specific object? Or do they have a program on the computer where they input what they want and it spits out how to make it. So anyways. I was just curious about that, if anyone has any answers I would love to hear them, I know its a random question but I thought it was a good one. Thanks guys!
Hmm that ldraw program looks pretty cool. I am pretty good with rhino… I’m gonna use ldraw haha. It’s Legos for big kids . And I still have my Legos from when I was a kid…. but that wasn’t very long ago for me… like 10 years.

My son will be turning 11 in a few weeks, and I desperately need ideas for a birthday party. It will be winter in New England, so outdoor activities are not an option. I live in an older rented house, and my landlords live above me…so I don’t want a dozen kids running around in here causing mayhem, but every activity that he or I can think of involves running around and making lots of noise. We don’t want to repeat what we’ve done in past years, as he’s crossing over into an age where he’s not quite a teen, but too old for babyish stuff. Some of the things we’ve done in past birthday parties that i think are kinda ’spent’:

- Sleepovers involving just a few of his closest friends, doing indoor camping activities and roasting marshmallows over a sterno can.
- Bowling parties.
- We’ve even delayed his birthday party til the summer so we could do outdoor activities that included water balloons/water gun battles and a Darth Vader pinata that they hit with a light saber.

Of course, money is tight, as I just got laid off from work, so Chuck E Cheese and other such options are way too expensive…and neither he nor I were impressed when we went to the last Chuck E Cheese party. It was overcrowded and hot, the food was horrible, and the prizes were sucky.

I’m willing to host here at home in theory, but doing what???? He loves Legos and Star Wars, and laser tag and guns or cops & robbers type of activities. HELP!!!!

I recently was given a copy of lego indiana jones the original adventures and played it to see what the hype was about when the lego games started coming out on 360. I just want to know, is this waht Lego star wars the complete saga is like? And by that i mean, is it full of irritating ass puzzles and what not? Maybe i could tolerate the star wars ones because im a star wars nut, but ive never seen any of the indiana jones movies so im wondering if maybe my tolerence for the mundane in this series is the problem. Like do people that like the movies like the games? I just cant get into it. But anyway id just like to know if lego star wars is lame and irritating like this junk game. P.S. Im glad i didnt pay for this.

i’m the 34 year old mom of an amazing eight year old kid. he got the kung fu panda game for his birthday and we found some cheats online. they are like: left, down, right, down and stuff. well, he wants me to help him use them, but my real experience was with ataris (if you get my drift) other than a few battles on star wars legos, i’m at a loss as what screen i plug them into. i know what to push on the control. just not which screen in the pause menu or if i should even be in the pause menu. i don’t see a “enter cheats here” sort of thang. any help would be much appreciated. may the force be with you.
